Travel Tip: Royal Wedding Experiences

Locations in this article:  London, England

Listen up, die-hard Royal Family fans.

If your wedding invitation got lost in the mail, there are still ways to experience the big event in London.

Hotels are booking up fast for the weekend of April 29, so start planning now.

The Athenaeum London, on the other side of the park from Buckingham Palace, has rooms for about $600 a night that overlook Green Park so you can watch the processional.

On Regent Street, the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton has a package that includes a room, dinner for two, and a live screening of the wedding.

But if the $700 price tag is too much, just attend the viewing. For about $88 per person, including champagne and hors d’oeuvres, it’s not a bad deal.

The Stafford London, which is also across the park from the palace, is holding a viewing party for about $135 per person.

Now here’s one I may have to miss: Milestone Hotel is offering a four-night package for several thousand dollars that includes accommodations, a seven-course meal and…drum roll, please … a commemorative plate!
