Travel Tip: Medical Concierge Services

Locations in this article:  Denver, CO Nashville, TN

If you have to travel out of state for a medical procedure or have special needs on the road, you may want to consider staying in a hotel that has your interests in mind.

I’m talking about hotels with dedicated medical concierge services.

Loews Hotels recently launched medical support programs at its properties in Denver and Nashville.

Located close to major hospitals, these hotels fully stocked with items like reclining beds, oxygen tanks and ice packs.

Guests can take advantage of prescription drug pick ups and car services to and from the hospitals, and even arrange to have photos of families and friends placed in the room ahead of time to help with a speedy recovery.

At the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota visitors staying at The Kahler Grand hotel have access to a comprehensive medical concierge. Even its room service menu has options for guest preparing for tests, procedures, and specific dietary needs.

Patients at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic have access to three hotels on the property, which provide assistance with scheduling doctors appointments and airline reservations.

The best way to find these places?

Check with the hospital to see if it’s affiliated with a specific hotel, and call up the hotel’s manager to ask about what services are included in your rate, and what’s available for an additional fee.
