The Dubai-based airline Emirates has also embraced the first-class suite concept, offering suites on all Emirates A380 and Airbus A340-500 aircraft, as well as on select Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft. A remote-controlled sliding door can seal you in a shell of complete privacy, where you will have access to your personal mini-bar, vanity table, mirror, wardrobe, and a privacy divider for central suites. Sift through channel after channel on your 29-inch touchscreen while you stretch your seat into a fully flat bed and enjoy the comforts of a mattress, blanket and feathered duvet, with extra blankets and pillows upon request. If you drift in and out of sleep, you might notice something pleasantly strange: stars projected on the ceiling, almost as if you’re sleeping outdoors in the desert. Lie-flat seats (they’re massage-enabled!) are also available on Business Class on all A380s and most Boeing 777 aircraft, extending to form a flat bed up to 79 inches long. These Business Class seats all include a built-in minibar, an in-seat power supply for laptops, an extra-large table for a comfortable workspace, a personal storage area, a privacy divider, and a personal entertainment system that offers up to 1,400 channels.

Relaxation options onboard Emirates are not limited to seats that convert into flatbeds, of course. If you’ve booked first-class, you can always take advantage of one of the two shower spas available only on the Emirates A380 and lather yourself with Timeless Spa products in a refreshing shower 30,000 feet high in the sky. If you are a socialite, you can also relax in casual conversation over hors d’oeuvres and High Tea or a Grand Cru with other First Class and Business Class passengers on either of the two Emirates A380 onboard lounges. Also, anytime is a good time to ask the lounge bartender to prepare you a dose of your favorite cocktail. Meanwhile, the dining experience on Emirates reflects the locally sourced foods and regionally inspired dishes of the Arab world. The dinner menu, updated regularly, features main courses that range from Asian-accented braised beef rib dipped in a delightful coconut sauce to stir-friend lobster in black bean sauce. No matter the meal, all dining items are presented on Royal Doulton fine bone china and linen napkins. Healthy Meal Options dishes are the newest additions to the menu.
