2. Buzkashi

Buzkashi is the Afghan national sport that is a lot like polo: Both sports involve the same basic principles of having teams ride on horseback and propelling an object towards a goal. The only difference is that polo is played with a ball whereas buzkashi is played with a headless goat carcass. The traditional version of this competition could last for days but with strict regulations as of recently the games usually last about two hours. The game is known to get quite violent, with riders carrying around a whip to fend off opposing horses and riders. Although it is considered highly dangerous and immoral , the sport still remains popular in several Central Asian nations.
