Like a Local: Bay of Fundy & The Top 5 Natural Wonders of the Area

1. Fundy National Park

Driving through the park puts you in a threshold of a brave new world. Why? Fundy National Park has 9 miles of coastal road ways leading to incredible views of the Atlantic ocean with scenic inlets, rock formations and lighthouses along the route.

2. Mary’s Point

Mary’s Point is one of the best places along the bay to see local shore birds, which are semipalmated sandpipers that stop at the point as they migrate to and from South America.

3. Cape Enrage

Sure, all the cruise passengers might view the pay from a historic lighthouse, but for something a little more adventurous Cape Enrage lets you zip line or rappel through the area. The naturally light stage and fog alarm point also has a historic lighthouse.

4. Saint Andrews by the Sea

This small community by the sea lets you glimpse local martime culture or you can go out on the water and go whale watching. And it turns out that the Bay of Fundy has some of the most diverse whale populations in the world. The Quoddy Link Marine has tours all day long, but pack a sweater because it can get cold out on the water.

5. The Bay of the Giant Tides

The Bay of Giant Tides is a popular place to visit, but for something different you can take a kayak.
