Madison Square Garden – New York, NY

Dubbed “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden sits right above Penn Station in the heart of Manhattan. Home of the New York Knicks, the Garden is also home to some of the smartest and most knowledgeable basketball fans. While they haven’t had much to cheer about for most of the past decade, the Knicks are finally on the rise again with the recent acquisitions of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire.

The Garden has really started to show its age in recent years, but it is halfway through an extensive renovation project that is being conducted mostly during NBA off seasons. Already the entrances and concession areas have been spruced up. One benefit of the Garden’s age is that its luxury suites are at the top of the arena, providing a good view for fans in the upper levels.

Knicks tickets are among the most expensive in the NBA, and the team usually sells out no matter how bad they are. The best thing to do is to shop around different ticketing websites, or find a friend whose company has season tickets and can’t use them.
