Currency Conversions Online and On the Go

Have you ever struggled to keep track of currencies and exchange rates when you’re traveling overseas? Here are some resources than can help take the guesswork out of it.

If you have Internet access, one of the easiest sites out there is called XE.com.

It does quick conversion calculations for pretty much any currency in the world—you know, just in case you need to go shopping in Qatar or Togo.

XE.com also has some handy organizing tools…like a personal currency assistant that helps keep track of travel expenses.

Another site, called CurRate.com, regularly updates more than 180 different exchange rates. It even has an easy-to-use map that lets you point and click your way from country to country.

But when you’re out on the road, it helps to have this information in the palm of your hand.

So if you have a smart phone, listen up.

For iPhone users, you can download something called ACTCurrency for 99 cents, or you can get an app called Currency Converter for free.

BlackBerry users can also get the free Currency Converter program.

The fact is, it’s easy to get tripped up when dealing with foreign currency.

If you don’t know how much it’s really worth, you could end up spending more than you want.
