New Evidence on the Crash of Air France Flight 447 on The Early Show
New evidence has revealed the likely cause of the tragic crash of Air France Flight 447 that plunged into the Atlantic Ocean en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris in June 2009.
French authorities released a report today based on the flight recorders that were salvaged from the ocean floor, revealing how the two co-pilots struggled to regain control over the plane as it descended 38,000 feet into the ocean, killing all 228 passengers on board.
Peter sat down with Chris Wragge on The Early Show this morning to explain how the plane’s speed sensors malfunctioned and what likely happened in the plane’s final moments of descent.
