Travel Contest: Airfare Challenge WINNER

UPDATE: We have a tie in the contest. Congratulations to both Joshua Archey and Carri Karschney, who each win a a signed copy of  The Best Places for Everything.

To win this week’s contest: you have one week to pinpoint the best round-trip airfare for the Christmas holidays (from December 21-December 31) between New York and Los Angeles. **

Remember there are plenty of tools you can use. Take into account the best day to book airline tickets, the best time of day to book flights, alternate airports, alternate airlines and all of Peter’s travel tips.

The winner takes home a signed copy of Peter’s The Best Places for Everything, which is sure to give you more than a few ideas for your 2013 travel bucket list.

Enter your answer in the comment (and be sure to leave a contact email when you sign in. Anonymous posts will not be eligible.). Note: If you win you must have a screenshot or other proof to support the winning airfare.

**Note the trip can originate in either New York or Los Angeles. Travel must be completed between Dec 21 and 31 though there is no minimum number of days required.

Thanks for the questions, Dale. It can be any origin city. It can be for any time between 21-31. No minimum number of days. If you are changing airports you do need to factor rail or public transit costs. Sounds like you are thinking in the right direction….
