Oasis of the Seas - photo by Wil ShrinerRoyal Caribbean’s massive new cruise ship Oasis of the Seas has arrived in Port Everglades, the cruise port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after sailing its way across the Atlantic from its construction site in Turku, Finland.

Get more information on this leviathan and check out some great photos by Wil Shriner of the ship as it sails into port.

The new Oasis of the Seas is among the largest ships to ever ply the world’s oceans, and construction began on the ship back in 2006.

Oasis of the Seas - photo by Wil ShrinerWith a huge array of features, including two climbing walls, a science lab for kids, a spa aimed at teens, two wave simulators and the largest garden at sea, the Oasis of the Seas is veritable city unto itself.

And at a cost of over $1 billion, it’s also among the most expensive ships in history, too.

So don’t miss Peter’s report on this new cruise ship on The Early Show: Inside the World’s Largest Cruise Ship.

And with the crew, it holds more than 7000 people.

As far as I know, Oasis of the Seas it’s not the biggest ship any more any more. Now it’s Allure of the Seas, which was launched this year. I am hoping to be able to book a cruise with this sheep, because it looks amazing, mind-blowing. I definitely have to check the carnival cruise lines to see what cruises they have available with Allure.
