Chances are, you’ve heard of the trees in Sequoia National Forest or the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. But, there are plenty of other destinations have great “tree tourism.”

Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park is among the least-developed redwood parks in California.

It has some of the world’s largest redwoods by volume, including a collection of gigantic trees called the Grove of Titans.

Joshua Tree National Park is a 585,000-acre desert park that looks like another world, dotted with thousands of ancient trees.

And, if you couldn’t get enough of tree climbing as a kid, head to Cave Junction, in southern Oregon.

Here, the Tree Climbing Northwest School offers guided tree-climbing courses.

You’ll be strapped in safely and learn how to climb 100 feet up evergreen trees—and, of course, they’ll show you how to get back down!

Just don’t forget to yell, “Timber!”
