Regarding 11/15 radio show. You asked how to improve the transportation system in the US.

Easiest way and at no extra cost: Require all elected or appointed officials from local dog catcher to Obama to travel commercially.

They must make their own revervations and have no perks…..stand in line, sit in very small seats, pay for extras for flights.

Drive the roads, pump and pay own gas, pay tolls.

Try to take a train anywhere.

Ride a bus–at least my last ride was on time and a clean bus.

Expenses out ot their pockets for self and staff!

6 months of traveling like we do would get some action.

Glad I found your show on the air. Now will watch for it.

It’s about time that “anti-travel” books have started to make their way to the market. We always hear about those places that are more popular among seasoned tourists, but it’s nice to know about some of the problems that can occur in certain areas.

I feel that what you have said about Cedar Rapids Iowa is completely wrong. The floods were not something that could be controlled and it is so very wrong of you to disrespect the people who are working hard to get back into their homes and businesses. They cannot control the smell from the floods. Maybe you should take some of your book money and give it to the hard working people of Cedar Rapids and help them instead of disrespecting them by writing a book that is so MEAN!!!! Also maybe you should come to Cedar Rapids on Crunch Berry day! THose factories are employing people and putting food on tables all over the country.

Hey Peter!! It was great reading your informative blog. Can you help me out with a convincing list of places I must not miss out during my Manila trip scheduled in August 09? This will be my first visit to the place……..thanks to the City Super Sale (http://pea.to/ampind) offer that promises to reduce my traveling expenses to as low as USD94 so that I can save up to a maximum of 60%.
