Save Time, Money, and Travel Better with Peter's Daily Travel Tips

If you’re a nature enthusiast who loves all things botanical, why not skip the formal garden tour and try hiking among the wildflowers instead?

Travel Dream West Tours offers nature tours during the height of flower blooming season in the spring.

A 13-day tour of the Western U.S. will cost you about $2,000, and includes guided tours to view the wildflowers and scenery of Joshua Tree National Park, the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Mt. Whitney.

Adventure tour company AlpineHikers offers a Wildflower Tour based in the Swiss village of Murren.

This trip involves about five to seven hours a day of moderate hiking in the mountains to see the early summer blooms.

And for a lighter dose of your favorite pastime, California Wine Hikes offers a one-day wildflower hike in California’s Central Coast.

The $105 fee includes a five-mile hike among the flowers, lunch and wine-tasting a Santa Cruz winery.
