Some hotels claim to have teen programs that turn out to be nothing more than a lounge with a television. The next time you travel with your family, pick a hotel that has some truly unusual services for teenagers.

In the summer months and holidays, Four Seasons locations hire local teenagers to work as a “Teen Concierge.” These employees are there to suggest nearby activities, hangouts and restaurants for teenaged guests.

In San Diego’s Hotel Del Coronado, kids can hang out in the lounge, but they can also join other teenagers for surf camp lessons, weekly poolside bingo, and spa packages designed especially for their age group.

And at the Sage Inn in Santa Fe, teenaged guests are invited to attend events and workshops at the drug- and alcohol-free local youth center, Warehouse 21, where they can participate in music recording, silk-screening, movie nights and more.
