You may expect your hotel to have daytime activities, but did you know that some hotels actually plan evening activities for night owls?

Every month during the full moon, the Westin Maui Resort and Spa offers Moonlight Yoga sessions that are open to the public.

For $10, you’ll practice yoga poses, stretches and breathing techniques on the moonlit beach.

Also in Hawaii, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa helps you get up close and personal with the stars.

The hotel has its own Director of Astronomy who takes you to the resort’s rooftop to gaze through a high-powered telescope.

And, for a glimpse of nocturnal creatures, why not go hiking at night?

You can do this at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa near Austin, where a naturalist will lead you through nearby McKinney Roughs Nature Park.

Using night-vision, you’ll be able to spot possums, armadillos and deer.
