Save Time, Money, and Travel Better with Peter's Daily Travel Tips

Although it’s a myth that your identity can be stolen from your hotel room key card, some hotels are offering more secure ways for you to enter your room.

If you’re staying at the penthouse of the Nine Zero Hotel in Boston, you can take advantage of the hotel’s high-tech iris-scan technology.

No need to smile for this photo, because when checking in to the hotel, a close-up snapshot is taken of your eye.

At the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio, you can use special RFID-enabled wristbands that allow you to enter your room, gain entrance into the resort’s water park, and even buy food and drinks.

And in New York’s SoHo Loft, let your fingerprints do the walking.

Your prints are scanned onto the room lock, and just use your index finger to type in a security code, which is added on as an extra layer of security.
