If you’re sick of lugging around cumbersome books and newspapers when you travel, a personal reader device might be the answer for you.

In the past, travelers complained that electronic books were clunky, difficult to read or didn’t have enough options.

But these days, new technology is making reading on-the-go a much simpler task.

Amazon’s Kindle book reader weighs just 10 ounces can hold up to 200 titles, with more than 90,000 books, newspapers and magazines.

The screen is matte-finished and uses reflective light to ease the strain on your eyes.

The Kindle reader costs $399, and each title is almost $10.

A more affordable option is the Reader Digital Book from Sony, which can be found for $299. This device can hold about 160 titles and weighs just 9 ounces.

The six-inch screen allows the text to be magnified to suit your reading needs.

You can also use your cell phone as an eReader. It's hard to beat the portability. I have read quite a few books from http://www.booksinmyphone.com
