Peter’s broadcasting from the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Florida.

He’ll talk with Vince McGrath, senior naturalist at South Seas Island Resort, about Captiva’s rich wildlife and natural history—including the fact that more than 50 percent of the 330-acre island is a wildlife preserve and estuary.

Matt Flannery, co-founder and CEO of KIVA, will chat about the charitable organization that allows individuals to loan money to entrepreneurs in the developing world. And Bruce Beckham, CEO of Tourism Cares, discusses a volunteer program in New Orleans.

He’ll be joined on the phone by Melanie Trottman, airline industry reporter for The Wall Street Journal, about the status of American Airlines, and the aftermath of the massive grounding of planes this week. Plus, we’ll hear from International Aviation Safety & Security Consultant Greg Feith about the FAA’s system of overseeing aircraft maintenance issues.
