Many travelers enjoy a day at the spa, but what if you actually could live at one?

Nowadays, you can find condominiums and rooms available for those who are willing to pay to have easy access to a spa.

In California, the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage features the La Prairie Spa.

Some of these units have outdoor soaking tubs and fire pits, as well as private walkways leading directly to the spa.

Opening in December 2008 is Capella, Telluride’s Mountain Village, which will feature a spa, European style ski-in and ski-out access, and a gondola ride with unbeatable views.

Or try the company that has set trends in the spa industry for years: Canyon Ranch Living in Florida.

It has embraced the idea of living where you can enjoy spa treatments, gym facilities, classes, and healthy-living activities every day.

  • I work at Cal-a-Vie Health Spa and, if I could, I would gladly live here. I'm here daily, working, but I can't figure out how to get paid for staying in a cottage, enjoying the cuisine, taking part in the fitness program, doing Tai Chi and receiving massages throughout the afternoon. While our wellness program features three-, four- and seven-night stays, celebrities and other guests have stayed for up to three months. That's my idea of a spa vacation.
