Save Time, Money, and Travel Better with Peter's Daily Travel Tips

Before heading off on a family vacation, make sure you know what kind of immunizations your children need before traveling to a foreign country.

All decisions about childrens’ vaccinations should be made with your doctor, but here are some basic guidelines to help you plan your next trip.

The youngest age to receive immunizations is six weeks old, but a number of vaccinations are only intended for older children.

Most infants receive the recommended vaccinations for diseases such as hepatitis and measles at a young age.

However, some immunizations, such as the one for yellow fever are not allowed to be administered until the child is at least nine months old.

Children under this age should not travel to areas where yellow fever occurs, like Africa and South America.

Before you leave, make sure you meet with your physician to get personal advice for your child and your travels.
