Save Time, Money, and Travel Better with Peter's Daily Travel Tips

The next time you travel don’t waste your time with logistics. Let your Blackberry plan your trip for you.

New software allows you to spend less time in the preparation of a trip and more time enjoying your destination.

WorldMate Live allows you to go on autopilot while your Blackberry receives constant updates in real time of flight details, departure/arrival times, the local time and weather at the destination, and directions at the destination to the car rental, the hotel, and business meetings.

The service is $74.95 a year, though less comprehensive services are much less.

If you’re worried about the weather at your destination, Foreca’s Weather Widget is free and provides your Blackberry with international five day forecasts at six-hour intervals.

If you don’t have a Blackberry, FlightStats Mobile also allows you to check the status of your flight and gate changes with your Web-enabled cell phone, Treo or PDA for free.
