Feed Your Pet When You’re Not Home

Daily Travel Tips on January 20, 2007 2:01 pm

If you’re prone to taking a lot of short trips away from your beloved dog or cat, you may want to check out these new automatic pet feeders.

For about $30, the Viateck I-Pet Intelligent Pet Dish has four compartments that can be programmed to open at feeding times. You can also record 20 seconds of your voice calling Fluffy to dinner.

For just under $40, the Lentek 6-Day Automatic Pet Dish is designed to keep your pet fed for nearly a week.

And for a longer trip, Ergo’s Large Pet Autofeeder can hold up to 20 lbs. of food and will automatically dispense pre-set amounts.

Ergo promises their dispensing mechanism is pet-safe, even if Fido decides to stick his tongue up the food chute. But just to be on the safe side, make sure to test any automatic feeder BEFORE you leave town.
