As handy as it is, the Internet can sometimes contain errors — and travel sites are no exception.

HandiRaceWhile getting a wheelchair-accessible hotel room was once a challenge, in recent years, there’s been a proliferation of resources to help the disabled make the most out of traveling.

In part, this is due to the fact that the market for disability travel has risen sharply in recent years–in the past few years alone, more than 21 million adults with disabilities traveled for pleasure, and the number of leisure travelers with special needs is up nearly 50% from 2002.

Travelers with mobility problems can sometimes find it tough to enjoy nature with their families, but here are some outdoor destinations that are accessible for families of all mobility levels.

But because Peter logs over 400,000 travel miles per year, getting in touch with him at any particular moment isn’t always possible. That said, we do try our best to respect both requests and deadlines.
